Vintage Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine
Pierro Vintage Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon draws from the winery's oldest Cabernet vines at Wilyabrup, just a stone's throw from the Margaret River coastline.
Influenced by pure ocean breezes and planted in high density, narrow rows, the vines yield concentrated and flavourful grapes. They are bunch and berry sorted by hand.
What remains is fruit with the appearance of black caviar. It is open fermented with hand plunging several times daily. Some parcels are left for extended maceration on skins, up to 30-40 days.
The wine matures in French oak, then the best 10 barrels are selected for blending. Once bottled, the wine matures in the Pierro cellar for several years prior to release.
Inky red purple, Pierro Vintage Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is an intensely perfumed, silky wine with ripe fruit flavours and distinct herbal character.
Made in very limited quantities. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
